The Fintech team of Barros & Errázuriz is a pioneer in providing legal advice to Fintech companies in Chile. It advises founders and early stage companies on the design, creation and development of various Fintech ventures, such as: payment processors, alternative financing and loans, personal and business financial management, and technology infrastructure for finance and insurance.
Members of the Fintech team are part of the Legal Committee of the Fintech Association of Chile, providing direct legal advice to its board of directors and its more than 80 affiliated Fintech companies (including the most important Fintech companies in Chile and Latin America), through specialized sessions at the Open Data and Open Banking table, and the Digital Infrastructure table.
We also maintain an alliance with the Fintech Association of Chile, representing its more than 80 affiliated Fintech companies in regulatory matters before the Chilean Congress, the Financial Market Commission during the discussions on the FinTech and Open Banking bill, and before the State Modernization Unit of the Chilean government. Additionally, and as a result of our advice at the Open Data and Open Banking table, we have contributed to the issuance of the first Open Banking Report in Chile (Open Banking: Data at the service of innovation and financial inclusion).
