At Barros & Errázuriz, Pro bono work is an integral part of our practice. The seriousness with which we have assumed this commitment is reflected in the dedication of our attorneys to pro bono work in diverse areas such as civil, commercial, tax and judicial.
True to its values, our office promotes this work to all its attorneys, annually recognizing the areas and attorneys who have devoted more time to this important issue.
We believe it is important to give back to those who need it most, that is why, together with adhering to the “Declaration of Pro Bono Work for the Americas,” a commitment that translates into more than 20 annual work hours Pro Bono per attorney, we are also members of the Pro Bono Foundation, where our partner Pablo Guerrero is Founder, Director and currently chairs the Foundation.
The Barros & Errázuriz Pro Bono program is directed by a committee formed by the partner Pablo Guerrero and 3 associates representing different practice areas.
For Barros & Errázuriz, the conviction of supporting those who need it the most is a fundamental part of its day-to-day life, which is why, for more than 5 years, it has been giving a scholarship to law graduates who fulfill requisites of academic excellence, leadership skills, and lack of economic resources, so that they are able pay for their expenses while studying to complete their degree.
In addition to the 7 months of financial support, the scholarship also provides the winner the opportunity to complete a 3-month paid internship at the firm.
