On July 10, 2019, the Official Gazette published an amendment to the General Urban Planning and Construction Ordinance that adds a new chapter in title 6 of this, “Special Regulation for Economic Housing” establishing a new category of projects under the DFL-2 of 1959, called the “Integrated Housing Projects”.
These are residential projects that induce or collaborate to improve urban social integration because they are made up of housing for beneficiaries of State programs (Subsidies) or that include a minimum percentage of homes required to qualify as such. For this projects, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MINVU), through a well-founded resolution, will be able to establish urban planning benefits for the properties located in certain polygons, in which integrated housing is built.
