Barros & Errázuriz has been included in the shortlist for the Legal 500 Chile Awards 2026, with nominations recognizing the firm, its practice areas, lawyers, and some of the most significant transactions in which we have participated.
B&E was shortlisted for Chile Law Firm of the Year and Marketing Team of the Year, along with nominations for seven of our practice areas.
The shortlisted practice areas are:
- Banking and Finance Firm of the Year
- Capital Markets Firm of the Year
- Corporate and M&A (High-end) Firm of the Year
- Energy and Natural Resources: Electricity and Gas Firm of the Year
- TMT Firm of the Year
- Real Estate Firm of the Year
- Public Law Firm of the Year
At an individual level, 15 B&E lawyers were shortlisted across several categories. For Lawyer of the Year, the nominees are Pablo Guerrero, Corporate and M&A (High-end); Víctor Barros, Capital Markets; Fernando Garrido, Environment; David Cademartori, Public Law; Javier San Martín, Bankruptcy and Restructuring; and Sergio Eguiguren, Venture Capital.
For Next Generation Partner of the Year, José Luis Corvalán was shortlisted in Bankruptcy & Restructuring; Francisco Bórquez, Competition and Antitrust; Felipe Allende, Energy and Natural Resources: Mining; María Olga Rivera, Banking & Finance – Projects and Infrastructure; Andrés Rodríguez, TMT; Lucas Marinovic, Venture Capital; and Alejandra Aránguiz, Real Estate.
In addition, Luis Alberto Letelier was shortlisted for Senior Partner of the Year, while Nicole Ubal was recognized in the Rising Star Associate of the Year category.
The shortlist also recognizes two transactions in which B&E participated. For Deal of the Year: M&A, the US$1.2 billion sale of Telefónica’s Chilean businesses to Millicom and NJJ Holding was nominated, with B&E acting as local counsel to Millicom and NJJ Holding. For Deal of the Year: Finance, the US$448 million financing granted by Coöperatieve Rabobank and other financial institutions to Genus PLC was recognized, with B&E advising Rabobank U.A. and several foreign financial institutions.
