Barros & Errázuriz advised Americar holding company -also known as Salazar Israel group- in the purchase of 100% of Servimaq, one of the main automobile distributors located in southern Chile.

Servimaq has points of sale in Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, Valdivia and Osorno and is an authorized distributor of brands such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Skoda, Citroën, Honda, MG, SsangYong, ZXAuto, Jetour, KYC and Hyundai. Our team actively advised the client in the negotiation of the sale and purchase agreement of shares and corporate rights, in the complex due diligence process and in the acquisition of certain real estate, as well as brands and other assets belonging to the group.

In addition, we structured and negotiated a prior restructuring of the Servimaq Group in order to achieve the acquisition of 100% and minimize the legal risk for our client. We also led the pre-notification process before the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office.

Grupo Salazar Israel participates in the automotive industry through its various subsidiaries and this acquisition will allow it to continue expanding in this area.
