In the context of the environmental processing of the Dominga mining-port project, which began 11 years ago, the judicial process could extend even further. After the First Environmental Court issued a favorable ruling, revoking the resolution of the Committee of Ministers of 2023 against the project, it is expected that actions will be brought before the Supreme Court.

In this regard, our environmental director, Matías Montoya, noted that it could take a year or more from the filing of the appeal to the issuance of the ruling. “It is a clear example of how a project can be reviewed several times in different administrative and judicial instances for the same issues”.
