Juan Sebastián has focused his practice on advising local and international clients in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Law, Venture Capital and Research and Development. In 2023, together with the company’s technical team, he led SQM Nitrates and Iodine’s R&D initiatives in the United States, and then joined Latham & Watkins LLP New York as an International Visiting Associate in the Emerging Companies Growth practice until 2024.

Previously, he participated as a member of the legal committee of the Chilean Fintech Association, joining the Open Data/Open Banking and Digital Infrastructure Roundtables. He was also a member of the Digital Regulations and Data Protection Roundtable of the Chilean American Chamber of Commerce and the Innovation and Technology Roundtable of the Chilean Australian Chamber of Commerce. Juan Sebastián has also supported the Chilean Corporation for the Digitalization of Cash (ChilePay) since its beginnings.
