Barros & Errázuriz advised ICC Inversiones SpA during the acquisition process of a 20,1% shareholding stake in Grupo Patio SpA, thereby ICC Inversiones SpA becoming one of the main shareholders of the business group, making this transaction one of the most significant M&A deals in the Chilean real estate market.

Grupo Patio SpA is a large, well-known Chilean holding group with diversified operations in Chile, Peru, Mexico and the United States of America, which owns more than 158 real estate assets amounting over 1,4 million square meters of gross leasable area (GLA), which is expected to increase in 53,000 additional square meters. In addition, Grupo Patio SpA develops 5 business divisions and manages real estate assets equivalent to US$3,200 million, which make it one of the most relevant real estate holding groups in Chile.

ICC Inversiones SpA is the investment vehicle of the well-known Chilean entrepreneur Guillermo Harding, founder of Farmacias Cruz Verde, one of the leading pharmaceutical chains in Chile and who is currently the main investor in the joint-venture that controls Farmacias Ahumada, another leading pharmaceutical chain in Chile.
