The Ministry of Energy published Supreme Decree No. 1 of 2026, introducing significant changes to the regulatory framework applicable to Small Distributed Generation Facilities (PMGDs), Small Generation Facilities (PMGs), and energy storage systems.
Among the key amendments are modifications to the stabilized pricing mechanism, new obligations for projects opting into the regime, changes to generation allocation and curtailment rules, and specific provisions governing energy storage systems.
