Barros & Errázuriz advised the Del Río family on the deal to combine Derco with Inchcape plc.

The Derco group is headquartered and is the largest independent automotive distributor in Latin America, with long-standing partnerships with global OEMs such as Suzuki, Mazda and Renault, with operations in Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia. Following the agreement signed on July 27, 2022 and its subsequent closing in December of the same year, Derco becomes Inchcape’s largest shareholder.

The Barros & Errázuriz team in Santiago was led by partner Pablo Guerrero, with the participation of partners Francisco Bórquez and Lucas Marinovic, director Daniela Peña and associates Catalina Villalobos, Mary Anne Hohmann, Daniela Tumani, Juan Ignacio Basagoitia, Franco Palavecino, Matías Péndola and Sophia Schiacapasse.
