January 15, 2018, was published in the Official Gazette Resolution N°3.565, issued on December 28, 2018 by the DGA (Chilean Water Authority) which listed the water rights that must pay a fee in 2019 for the non-use of the water.

The fee must be paid on or before March 31, 2019, and the failure of such payment will be sanctioned with the auction of the water rights through a judicial procedure.

In the event that the Resolution aforementioned incurred in any mistake (as the duplication of the fees to be paid), or in case the list included water rights that are currently being used or subject of some of the usage presumptions set forth in the Water Code, owners can file the pertinent Reconsideration Appeal until February 26, 2019.
