On November 28, 2023, after more than two years of parliamentary processing, the President of the Republic enacted the bill that modernizes Law No. 19,886, on Bases on Administrative Contracts for Supply and Provision of Services, also known as the Public Procurement Law.

This initiative is composed of five main areas: (i) Greater probity and transparency; (ii) Efficient use of public resources; (iii) Promotion of the participation of MSMEs; (iv) Innovation and sustainability; and (v) Strengthening of the Public Procurement Court.

Our Public Law team presents a report on the main implications of the new reform.
