On July 1, 2025, the Senate approved the Sectorial Authorizations Framework Bill, pending its enactment and publication. This initiative is the most significant reform in terms of permits and administrative procedures of the last two decades in Chile, and seeks to modernize, standardize and coordinate the processes of sectorial authorizations, incorporating a new approach based on alternative enabling techniques.
