Advised Colbún in its negotiation with CODELCO -Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile-, the world’s largest copper producer, to decarbonize its production processes. This implied the modification of the power purchase agreement (PPA) they signed in 2010, which remains in force until 2044 and allows to gradually replace the energy supply to Codelco -currently based on coal from the Santa María power plant- for one based on renewable generation. Once the transition is completed, on December 31, 2025, Colbún will provide a supply to Codelco based solely on renewable energy, for 1,000 GWh per year.
