Barros & Errázuriz advised Empresas Gasco in a private bidding process and the negotiation of a BOOT (build, own, operate, transfer) agreement with BHP (on behalf of Minera Escondida) that contemplates:

1. The design, financing, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a thermosolar system, consisting of a set of collectors, pipelines and an energy storage system.
2. Supplying heat energy to Minera Escondida, located at Antofagasta Region. For this purpose, Empresas Gasco incorporated a subsidiary company, which shall carry out of the Project.

The advising included an extensive negotiation of the BOOT (from May 2022), including its annexes involving technical, banking and legal advising.
