In this year’s Public Account, President Gabriel Boric announced a bill called “SERNAC Te Protege” (SERNAC Protects You), which entered Congress on 7 September 2023, for processing, under Bulletin No. 16.271-03. The Bill introduces amendments to Law 19.496 on Consumer Rights Protection and seeks to improve the protection of the rights of consumers in the field of their individual interests, strengthening SERNAC, granting it sanctioning powers.
