The publication estimated that around 107 Latin American and international law firms helped companies in the region raise nearly 90 billion dollars through 366 debt capital markets deals (64% of them in Brazil).
Among the others transactions that were carried out in the Spanish-speaking countries of the region, Barros & Errázuriz stood out as the Chile leader with 13 transactions, positioning itself as the one with the highest deal volume of any local law firm outside Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
Latin Lawyer also highlightet that Chile became the first country in the region to issue green bonds in a transaction worth US$2.4 billion.
