On September 30, 2024, Supreme Decree No. 33 was published, issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism dated September 27, 2024, which amends the General Ordinance of Urbanism and Construction in matters of expiration of construction permits, in the sense of incorporating a transitory article to the regulation, establishing that:

“Transitory Article. Those construction permits which, being in force at the date of entry into force of this regulation, have not started the corresponding works, shall be understood to be extended for an additional eighteen months”.

In accordance with the same Supreme Decree, this modification becomes effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, that is, from September 30, 2024.
